The property is blessed with a unique and breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge’s Humpback Mountain. The main building features historically recorded woodwork covered by a technique known as “feather painting”. It has organically varnished hardwood floor throughout the home and a great front porch shaded by three hundred or more year old ash trees. The estate also includes a luxury and romantic getaway cottage, as well as a wine tasting room that showcases the Flying Fox Vineyard vintages.
Danielle Savard and Marcel McNicoll migrated from French-speaking Quebec-Canada in 1997 and have spent the last three years looking for the right place and opportunity to open a B&B. They first came to the Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains while vacationing in May 2009. The beautiful, scenic environment, the warm welcoming of the people living in the Rockfish Valley and, obviously, the bucolic pleasure of the Wine Trail made them immediately fall in love with the area. The rest, as they say, is history. They invite you to come visit and help them make more beautiful memories in the newest phase of their lives.
