6th Annual Art Rocks the Inns - A Cape Charles Art Walk
2018-07-11 14:03:23The porches of the inns of Cape Charles will be rocking with talented artisans on Sunday, August 19th, from 1pm to 6pm, during the sixth annual Art Rocks the Inns.
Art Rocks the Inns is a free, annual art walk and house tour. The event takes you through 6 Cape Charles inns showcasing the work of over 25 local artists. The art presented will be in a wide range of creative mediums. Painting, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, photography, wood, food, fiber, and other unique art forms will be on display.
All the participating venues are located in Cape Charles historic downtown district and within walking distance of one another. Attendees will also be able to tour these beautifully restored historic homes, each now operating as a Virginia bed and breakfast.
Take a walking, bike, golf cart, or car tour from one inn to another and enjoy the charm of the 6 participating properties. You can pick up your map at any one of the listed B&B's. Admission is free.
We're proud that 4 of the hosting inns are StayVA member properties:
Alyssa House Bed & Breakfast, 530 Randolph Avenue
Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles, 403 Tazewell Avenue
Cape Charles House Bed and Breakfast, 645 Tazewell Avenue
Fig Street Inn, 711 Tazewell Avenue
Art Rocks the Inns Participating Artists
Many of the Art Rocks the Inns artists are from the Eastern Shore and Hampton Roads areas. Others are coming in from Richmond and Northern Virginia. Most of the artists do not have retail storefronts, making this an opportunity to discover art you may see nowhere else, and to support local artisans.
