Virginia Cider Week Besides pumpkin spice, apple is the most popular seasonal fruit of autumn. From pick-your-own apple orchards to hot, sweet apple pie, no other fruit says "all-American" like apples. That, of course, includes apple cider. Cider Week Virginia will be taking place on November 13-22 in a statewide celebration of everyone’s favorite fall apple drink. Virginia is known for apple juice, cider and hard cider. And Virginia is known for them all. We are now the first state with an official Cider Week declared by its governor. So during this upcoming week of tastings, pairings, dinners, workshops, and more, visit Virginia and join in the celebratory events:

Old Hill Cider and food pairings all week long at Bella Luna Woodfired Pizza, November 13-22, Harrisonburg, VA: If you’ve never tried homemade, wood-fired pizza paired with locally crafted hard cider, then you’re in for a Cider Week treat at Bella Luna! Richmond Cider Celebration, November 14, Richmond, VA: Your $20 ticket will offer you tastings from 12 participating cideries, live musical performances, educational workshops, and more. Blue Bee Tap Cider Takeover at Birch, November 18, Norfolk, VA: Birch Bar, which holds the reputation of “Norfolk’s finest craft beverage bar,” will be providing entire flights of Blue Bee Cider from both the keg and the bottle.
