- Blacksburg, VA: Wave your flags at a downtown Blacksburg parade from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. Then don’t miss a FREE movie (“The Lorax”) at The Lyric Theatre. - Virginia Beach: With a name like “Stars & Stripes Explosion,” you know that this festival will be bringing the patriotism! This celebration includes tribute bands, Broadway showtunes, folk music and more, all climaxing with oceanfront fireworks. - Charlottesville: Not only does Monticello’s Fourth of July celebration take place at the home of Thomas Jefferson, it also includes an annual Naturalization Ceremony to welcome new US citizens from around the world.
