Meet the Furry Innkeepers of InnVirginia

Last week, Examiner.com published a fantastic article entitled “A Guest's Best Friend: 5 Furry and Feathered Innkeepers Who Make B&B's Complete.” For innkeepers, their pets not only become mascots of their B&B but also assistants of their establishment, greeting guests, offering a friendly warmth, and then bidding them goodbye at the end of a getaway. Now meet a few of InnVirginia’s furry innkeepers, who look forward to seeing you on your next Virginia vacation:   Tucker and Deuce, Brierley Hill Bed & Breakfast- There’s no doubt that dogs are man’s (and woman’s!) best friend, and Brierley Hill B&B’s canine pair epitomize this like no other. Tucker and Deuce, a golden retriever and a Bernese mountain dog, are the happy, friendly, and playful animal innkeepers at this Lexington, VA B&B. One of their favorite spots in the veranda, so if you happen to be out on the sun porch, you just might have a couple of canine companions to keep you company.           Bonnie and Niko, Oak Grove Plantation B&B- Nine-year old Bonnie and two-year old Niko are two beautiful Standard Poodles who run things around Oak Grove Plantation. Between entertaining guests, watching over their humans, and walking the trails around the property daily, they keep pretty busy. These two pooches especially love it when they are able to meet and play with guests’ dogs!               McNally, Applewood Inn and Llama Trekking-We bet you’ve never found lodging with llamas before. Applewood Inn’s llamas are more than just pets, though; they accompany guests on two-hour hikes along picturesque trails. All of Applewood’s llamas—Jonas, McNally, Pepe, Chaos, Happy, Jack Frost, Stryker, and Spunky—are curious, adventurous, and well-behaved, making them the perfect travel companion.     If you're looking for inns with four-legged hospitality, you can't go wrong here. You may not miss your llama back home. But scratching the head of a friendly-faced canine will feel like home.
