One of the most important features of a B&B is the bed. (After all it’s literally half of the name.) From antique, four poster frames to sleek, modern designs and soft, there is a bed for everyone, and we like to think that our Inn Virginia members offer the best. Check out a few of our beds that are just waiting to grant you rest and relaxation: 1. You have a number of fantastic beds to choose from at the Black Horse Inn. Rest easy in the four-posted mahogany bed of the Hunt Box Suite or the wrought iron queen size canopy bed of The Fox & The Grape. You’ll feel like a king in Hunters Haven with its four-poster Chippendale canopy bed or a queen in the Rosemont with its “ornate queen-sized hand-carved, canopy bed with privacy curtains.” 2. Herring Hall provides its guests with both comfort and history. In the General Room, you’ll find a beautiful walnut bed that is original to the Herring family. The Keydet Room “boasts an antique high backed walnut queen size bed” with a memory foam mattress that guarantees a night of deep relaxation. 3. The beds at Longwood Bed & Breakfast embody the word “class.” For example, in the Jarman Room, you can rest your head on in a canopied full bed that complements the accompanying hand carved, mahogany furniture set. Meanwhile, the Grant Room features a “features a hand carved lacquered antique queen bed.” 4. Maysville Manor present a variety of beds. Try the antique double sleigh of the Thomas Jefferson Room. Get your rest in the 1850s antique double rope bed in the Thomas May Room, or slumber in the Garden Room’s cannonball queen-sized bed. 5. Strathmore House B&B on the Shenandoah is furnished with beds that “bring to mind royalty, elegance, and refinement,” and you’ll no doubt feel as though you’re sleeping in a fairy tale. Sleep well in the Imperial’s romantic four-poster bed, the Belgravia’s four-poster iron bed, or the Maychild’s classic, Victorian iron bed.
