InnVirginia offers a unique stay at over 200 inspected and approved B&B locations and now InnVirginia has something more to offer guests and their local community members. “Fighting Hunger withINN Virginia” as they partner with the Virginia Federation of Food Banks. The Virginia Federation of Food Banks is comprised of seven locations that donated roughly 137 million pounds of groceries and supplies in 2013 alone. This great way to give back to the local community can be done in many ways simply by kicking back at your favorite B&B. Several locations have jumped at the opportunity to support their local food bank this summer when supplies and donations are low, while demand runs high. Foxfield Inn of Charlottesville, VA has created a donation jar, reminding guests that each dollar donated helps provide 4 meals. Holladay House Bed and Breakfast and the Inn at Westwood Farm each plan to donate $1 per breakfast served during the month of August. Contributions made this season alone will assist over 1 million Virginians in need. Check out a B&B near you to see how you can help combat hunger!
