Our association not only includes inns with close proximity to wineries and vineyards, but also several B&Bs with their very own vineyards— Beliveau Estate in Blacksburg, VA, Arcady Vineyard in Charlottesille, VA, and High Meadows Vineyard Inn in Scottsville, VA Beliveau Estate is an award-winning “65 acres of serenity and rolling blue ridge mountains located in the Catawba Valley.” Not only do they offer lavish lodgings at their B&B Maison Beliveau, but owners Yvan and Joyce Beliveau also produce red and white wines in their own vineyards, first planted in 2009. The Estate “currently offers white wines which include three Vidal Blancs made in different styles and a white traminette. Reds include Cabert Sauvignon, Chambourcin, Landot Noir, Red Zinfandel, and special house blends” (Beliveau Estate). Join them on the second and fourth Thursday of the month for “Thursday Wine and Tapas,” and until the end of September, enjoy their “Sunday Specials.” Arcady Vineyard is “the only B&B in Charlottesville with a working vineyard, offering guided wine tasting tours with transportation to dinner.” Arcady Vineyard offers peaceful luxury in the midst of Virginia's lush wine country, and every evening sees a serving of their own port-styled dessert wine. As a member of the Virginia Vineyards Association, Arcady Vineyards “acquires the advice and training from Tony Wolf, Professor of Viticulture, and his associates at Virginia Tech” (Arcady Vineyard). Needless to say, Erika and Chris Goodell, owners of Arcady Vineyard, know their wine and they know how to treat their wine-loving guests! High Meadows Vineyard Inn is a beautifully renovated farmhouse on thirteen acres of "gardens, woodlands, and meadows," and it boasts its own Pinot Noir vineyard. Nancy and Cynthia Bruce, the mother-daughter duo that owns and runs the inn, offer several different wine packages, including a tour of three or four different local wineries, and a Virginia wine and cheese plate.
"The Spirit of Wine Sang in my glass, and I listened With love to his odorous music, His flushed and magnificent song." - William Ernest Henly
