Bed and Breakfasts in Virginia are out to offer travelers relief from pain at the pumps this spring. Joining hundreds of other innkeepers across the U.S. and Canada, The Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia is participating in “B&Bs Kick Gas! ” a grassroots campaign to help ease the burden of high gas prices, and encourage travel to inns and B&Bs. From now until June 30, 2011, many members of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia will offer $25.00 off a two night stay or a $25.00 gas card (offers may vary, see the BBAV website, innvirginia.com for details).
“We don’t want to see travelers sidelined this spring and summer,” stated Mike Bedsworth, Vice President of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia. “We have joined the Better Way To Stay campaign’s “B&Bs Kick Gas!” program to offer additional reasons for travelers to choose inns and B&Bs this summer. Add gas incentives to complimentary breakfasts, refreshments and beverages, Wi-Fi and welcoming hospitality and it’s clear that inns and B&Bs make the ideal choice for those seeking value for their getways,” finished Mike Bedsworth.
The Bed and Breakfast Association of Virginia is the largest state association in the US with approximately 200 members. Each property is independently inspected by an onsite inspector to guarantee the highest standards. The association deems that hospitality, cleanliness and safety are of absolute importance. Once approved, each member is listed on the Bed and Breakfast Association Website, www.innvirginia.com.
Look for hundreds of additional gas offers at www.BetterWayToStay.com. Innkeepers across the U.S. and Canada have posted packages offering gas cards, credits toward your stay that can be put into the gas tank, incentives for carpooling and eco-friendly driving. The Better Way To Stay and “B&Bs Kick Gas!” are programs offered by the Professional Association of Innkeepers International (www.paii.org).
